Cognition and language, processing of fictional information, episodic/autobiographical memory, empirical aesthetics.

Earlier research projects

  • dissertation cover Participating in a story: Exploring audience cognition. This was my PhD work where I defined what it means to participate in a story in terms of cognition, and did a series of explorative empircial studies of cognition involved in experienceing a piece of computerised interactive fiction. I looked at spatial cognition, memory qualities, and perspective, by studing language when people talk about past events. Abstract (HTML). Full text (PDF, 1.88 MB)
