A few things about my sample list --------------------------------- (available at http://www.his.se/ida/~pierre/samples.txt) The list is made so that the information about each sample should fit on a single line (on a 80 columns screen). Use a font where the characters have the same width. Each type of info has fixed columns, so the file is easy to sort automatically on wave name, size or something else. Type of info starts on column ------------ ---------------- Wave name 1 Wave length 10 Loop point 15 Disk name 20 Comments 43 Some lengths and loop points are given in Yamaha (blocks) and some in Typhoon (no. of samples) -- sorry for that, but I haven't had the time to clear up all this. I don't even know which samples still are in Yamaha format since I convert setups as soon as I need to use them. Here are some explanations of my probably cryptic comments: ACC, AC "Acoustic" (I thought it was spelled "accoustic" once) EL "Electronic" (about percussion) or "Electric" (about piano, bass...) (DUPLICATED) This wave is already listed somewhere else in the list +RANGE This wave sounds good even when transposed +X, -X Try playing the wave transposed up or down by X RES "Resonance" filters on synth sounds, acid-like BD "Bass drum", "Kick drum" SD "Snare drum" HH "Hihat" OP "Open" (about hihat) CL "Closed" (about hihat) SEE WAVE "X" This wave is part of a multi-sampled sound, X is the first wave * Good, useful or in other ways nice (subjectively, of course). Always last on a line. Generally, I have left out comments if the wave name itself is informative enough. The comments should be used along with the wave name to figure out what kind of wave it is.
